Aims & Ethos

At Silver Birch School our focus is encouraging students to fulfil their potential and to engage in formal education. We provide a safe and secure environment where students can learn and feel comfortable being themselves. We invest everything into our students as they are our future leaders.

  • Encourage our students to reach their full potential
  • Provide a safe and secure learning environment
  • Celebrate our students successes and achievements at every opportunity
  • Involve and build a partnership with parents and guardians as we believe this is fundamental to every student’s success
  • Every student leaves with the minimum qualifications in all the core subjects
  • Students receive careers advice to help plan for their future

The school sets out to help students become more confident and independent and be ready for college, an apprenticeship or the workplace.

To facilitate this process a system of mentoring and student appraisals (covering academic and conduct progress) is in place linked to students’ individual education plans (IEP’s).
